Diljit Dosanjh

From being the first Indian artist to perform at the prestigious Coachella 2023, to a surprisingly delightful collab with Ed Sheeran at a live concert, and reigning the Punjab music industry with one chartbuster after the other, Diljit Dosanjh is a versatile Indian artist celebrated for his singing, acting, film production, and television hosting. He initially gained prominence in the Punjabi music industry with albums like 'Smile' (2005), 'Chocolate' (2008), and 'The Next Level' (2009), featuring collaborations with Yo Yo Honey Singh. 

His distinctive voice and soulful renditions have made hits like 'Proper Patola,' 'Do You Know,' and 'Laembadgini' staples in the Punjabi music scene. His 11th album, 'G.O.A.T.' (2020), not only topped charts but also landed him on the Billboard Social 50, further strengthening his international appeal. Following this, his album 'MoonChild Era' also saw success on the Billboard Canadian Albums Chart.

Beyond music, Diljit made a significant mark in Punjabi and Hindi cinema. He debuted as a lead actor in 2011 with 'The Lion of Punjab' and has since starred in commercially successful Punjabi films such as 'Jatt & Juliet 2,' 'Sajjan Singh Rangroot,' and 'Honsla Rakh,' which are among the highest-grossing Punjabi films to date. 

His Bollywood debut came in 2016 with 'Udta Punjab,' where his performance earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut and a nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He further showcased his acting chops in films like 'Good Newwz' (2019), followed by the latest release, ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ (2024) on Netflix. 

Diljit has also served as a judge on the reality show 'Rising Star' for three seasons.

With a string of accolades including five PTC Awards for Best Actor, Dosanjh continues to captivate audiences worldwide with his charismatic persona, exceptional talent, and unwavering dedication to his craft.
